A person on the premises for a purpose of mutual benefit concerning the business of the owner, for example a shopper in a store. A social visitor is not an invitee. The owner of the premises has the legal duty towards the invitee of reasonable care to keep the premises in a safe condition of repair. Basic Meaning of Invitee in Funeral Law
Invitee, in this context, means: one who has been invited on the property by the landowner; persons coming to a funeral home for the purpose of attending funerals, viewing remains, or engaging the funeral director’s services.
