Accountancy, Board of

Accounting Firms – Searchable list of firms certified to practice in Kansas.
Individual Search – “This listing includes all certificate holders, permit holders and those who have practiced by notification permits.”
Administration, Dept. of

Kansas Services Directory – “The Kansas Services Directory was created to provide Kansas Citizens with easy access to information about services and programs. The directory is made possible because of a partnership of state agencies.”
Online Communication Directory – Search for a state employee’s phone number or a state agency’s address.
Attorney General

Attorney General Opinions – Searchable by opinion number, date, requestor, attorney general or author, topic, synopsis, or full text of the opinion.
Office of the State Bank Commissioner

Loan Originator Search – Lists individuals currently approved to conduct loan origination activities on behalf of a specific mortgage company licensee.
Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board

License Verification – Search the BSRB Database by name, license number and/or license type for licensed psychologists, social workers, professional counselors, masters level psychologists, and marriage & family therapists, as well as registered alcohol and drug abuse counselors.
Corrections, Dept. of

Community Corrections Absconders – Select from a drop-down list of 33 Kansas locations. Thumbnail photos can also be displayed.
Offender Population Search – Many fields available to search for offenders. Includes inmate information.
Parole Absconders Search – Choose from a drop-down menu of locations including 105 Kansas counties, Kansas facilities, U.S. federal, and other states. Thumbnail photos can also be displayed.
Governmental Ethics Commission

Kansas Ethics Commission Opinions – Searchable by opinion number, keyword, or category.
Healing Arts, Board of

KSBHA License Verification Search – From the web site, “The Kansas Board of Healing Arts License Verification Search allows citizens the ability to perform a limited search for medical professionals in their area and verify those professionals’ licenses. Users are allowed to conduct four searches a month and view seven records per search.” Users must also register. A more powerful fee-based version of the database is available.
Health Policy Authority

Kansas Medical Assistance Program Beneficiary Provider Directory – Allows beneficiaries to search for providers enrolled in the KMAP by Provider Type, Name, County, City, State, Zip, or a combination of these terms.
Insurance, Department of

Insurance Inquiry – Information on companies, agents, or historic companies and financial information about companies selling insurance products in Kansas.
Kansas Bureau of Investigation

Private Investigation (P.I.) License Verification – Check the license status of a private investigator or private investigation agency.
Kansas State Historical Society

(The Society is both a state agency and a nonprofit corporation)

Civil War Veterans in Kansas – From the web site: “This database is a work in progress. It currently contains over 28,000 names of Union veterans of the Civil War who lived in Kansas after 1865.”
Death Notices of Members of Fraternal Orders – From the web site: “This index includes over 50,000 individuals for whom a notice of death was published in the proceedings of a fraternal order.”
Kansas Adjutant General’s Report, 1898-1899 – From the web site: “The 12th biennial Kansas Adjutant General’s Report lists the names of all soldiers who served in the Kansas volunteer troops (the 20th through 23rd Kansas Regiments) during the Spanish-American War (1898) and the Philippine Insurrection (through Oct. 28, 1899). This index to the report includes the company and regiment in which the individual served.”
Kansas Physicians and Midwives, 1881-1900 – From the web site: “This index is a compilation of the names of Kansas medical practitioners from two sources, the Kansas Board of Health reports for 1887-1900 and Dickman’s Medical Directory published in 1881.”
Necrology of the Grand Army of the Republic – From the web site: “This index includes over 13,000 individuals for whom a notice of death was published in the encampment proceedings of the Grand Army of the Republic, Department of Kansas.”
World War II Kansas Veterans Index – “This database contains more than 227,000 entries of male and female Kansas veterans of the armed forces who served between September 16, 1940 and June 30, 1946. This comprehensive data comes directly from Adjutant General Selective Service Board lists.”

2007 Enrolled Bills Signed by the Governor and Adopted Resolutions – Search by bill number, concurrent resolution numbers, or single resolution number for 2007. Also find enrolled and signed bills from previous years by year and/or keyword.
Administrative Regulations – This is the 2006 version and contains all regulations filed before January 1, 2006. Search by regulation number or keyword.
Find Your Legislator – Search by constituent address or map.
Full Text of Bills – Search legislative years by bill number or keyword.
House and Senate Journals – View journals by year, month, and day, or search for a journal by keyword or bill number.
Kansas Register – From the web site: “The Kansas Register is the official state newspaper. This publication provides a wide range of information such as proposed and adopted administrative regulations, new state laws, bond sales and redemptions, notice of open meetings, state contracts offered for bid, attorney general opinions, and many other public notices.” Searchable by year and issue number back to 1994.
Legislative Committees – View committee listings by House, Senate, Joint, or Interim.
Legislative Committee Meeting Minutes – Search by keyword for the years 2000-2006.
Session Laws – Searchable by year (back to 1996), chapter number, or keyword.
Statute Search – Search by number, keyword, or chapter.
Secretary of State

Business Entity Database Search – According to the web site, this database may be searched by business entity name, by business entity ID number (not the FEIN), by a keyword, by a resident agent’s full name, and by a resident agent’s name; keyword. Records include contact information, agent information, corporation status with certificates of good standing available and latest annual report.
