Quasi-traditio Definition
(Lat.) In civil law. A term used to designate that a person is in the use of the property of another, which the latter suffers and does not oppose. Lee. Elm. § 396. It also signifies the act by which the right of property is ceded in a thing to a person who is in possession of it; as, if I loan a boat to Paul, and deliver it to him, and afterwards I sell him the boat, it is not requisite that he should deliver the boat to me to be again delivered to him. There is a quasi tradition or delivery.
