In Judicio Definition
(Lat.) In or by a judicial proceeding; in court. In judido non creditur nisi juratis, in judicial proceedings no one is believed unless on oath. Cro. Car. 64. See Bracton, fols. 9Sb, 106, 287b, et passim. In Civil Lavi. The proceedings before a praetor, from the bringing the action till issue joined, were said to be in jure; but after issue joined, when the cause came before the judex, the proceedings were said to be in judicio. See “Judex.”
