Allotment Warden Definition
By the English general inclosure act of 1845 (section 108), when an allotment for the laboring poor of a district has been made on an inclosure under the act, the land so allotted is to be under the management of the incumbent and church warden of the parish, and two other persons elected by the parish, and they are to be styled “the allotment wardens” of the parish. Sweet.
