John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the United States

The Kennedy Center is the only official memorial to President Kennedy in
Washington, DC. Since its opening in 1971, the Center has presented a
year-round program of the finest in music, dance, and drama from the
United States and abroad. The Kennedy Center box offices are open daily, and
general information and tickets may be obtained by calling 202–467–4600 or
202–416–8524 (TTY). A limited number of half-price tickets are available for
some attractions to eligible patrons, including senior citizens over the age of
65, enlisted military personnel of grade E–1 through E–4, persons with fixed low
incomes, full-time students, and persons with permanent disabilities. Visitor
services are provided by the Friends of the Kennedy Center volunteers. Tours are
available free of charge between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays and between
10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on weekends. Free performances are given every day at
6 p.m. on the Millennium Stage in the Grand Foyer.
