Wilderness in the U.S. Code: Title 16, Chapter 1, Subchapter CVI, Part D

The current, permanent, in-force federal laws regulating wilderness are compiled in the United States Code under Title 16, Chapter 1, Subchapter CVI, Part D. It constitutes “prima facie” evidence of statutes relating to Conservation (including wilderness) of the United States. The reader can further narrow his/her legal research of the general topic (in this case, Monuments of the US Code, including wilderness) by chapter and subchapter.
