Validity Definition
Freedom from vices of substance; effectiveness in point of law. It is broader than “form” or “requisites,” as they are often applied; “form” signifying only regularity or technical phraseology, while “requisites” imports only positive requirements or essentials, and not matters extraneous to the act or instrument itself.
