Concept of Employer sanctions

In relation to immigration and citizenship, Employer sanctions is defined as: A series of civil fines or criminal penalties for violation of regulations that prohibit employers from: hiring, recruiting or referring for a fee foreign nationals known to be unauthorized to work in the U.S.; continuing to employ foreign nationals who the employer knows are unauthorized; or hiring an individual without completing Form I-9.
