Title VII
Title VII” is the section of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (as amended by the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972 and the Civil Rights Act of 1991) that prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin (codified at 42 USC 2000e).
