(Lat.) Cruelty of one spouse to the other. To constitute saevitia there must be such a degree of cruelty as to endanger the party’s suffering bodily hurt. 1 Hagg. Consist. 35; 2 Mass. 150; 3 Mass. 321; 4 Mass. 587.
