Train, Russell in Environmental Law

Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency during 1974 and 1975, he was appointed by President Gerald R. Ford. Train has a long history of environmental involvement. He was president of the Conservation Foundation and founder of the World Wildlife Fund in the United States.

Before becoming administrator, Train served as under secretary of the Department of Interior and as the first chairman of the Council on Environmental Quality while Richard M. Nixon was in office. Mr. Train is widely respected as an effective and skillful leader in the environmental movement.
