Resolution Trust Corporation in the United States

The Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) was the government agency created to salvage what it could from the Savings & Loan crisis of the late 1980s. The RTC has been dissolved; its responsibilities were transferred to the Savings Association Insurance Fund in 1995. The Fund is administered by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
