Finding Concept Releases (Securities Law)

Not all sources listed on this entry contain all concept releases issued by the SEC, but the list on this page provides suggestions for where to look for concept releases.

  • Concept releases are published in the Federal Register. For information on locating the Federal Register, please see our information about Federal Administrative Law Research. This has furher information that lists the different places you can find the Federal Register, in print and online.
  • SEC Concept Releases page. The Securities and Exchange Commission occasionally publishes “concept” releases to solicit the public’s views on securities issues so that the SEC can better evaluate the need for future rulemaking. The SEC encourages the public to submit comments on concept releases during the comment period.
