(Law Lat.; from quadrans, q. v.) In old English law. Of the value or price of a quarter or farthing. Panis quadrantalis, the farthing loaf. Fleta, lib. 2, c. 9. Britton, in the parallel passage, has the word ferlinges. Britt. c. 30. But the word is not taken notice of either by Spelman or Cowell.
