Definition of Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA)

A concept of Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA) applicable in the United States: Model legislation approved in July 2006 by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (NCCUSL) to govern the management and expenditure of investment assets held by charitable organizations. UPMIFA has been adopted by 49 states and the District of Columbia.
