Open Access Law Adopting Journals in the United States

The Open Access Law Program, a part of the Science Commons publishing project, supported the “open access” to legal scholarship. By providing simple, standardized principles and agreements, Science Commons seek to encourage the broadest possible uptake of open access ideals in legal publishing. The project probed succesful in the legal publishing field, an a significant number of law journals adopted the Open Access Law Journal Principles or the Open Access Law Principles, at least in part. Science Commons continued to work to add new journals to the principles. After Science Commons was re-integrated with Creative Commons, the task is followed by the later.
