Obtaining and Issuing Circulating Notes in the U.S. Code: Title 12, Chapter 2, Subchapter V

The current, permanent, in-force federal laws regulating obtaining and issuing circulating notes are compiled in the United States Code under Title 12, Chapter 2, Subchapter V. It constitutes “prima facie” evidence of statutes relating to Banking Law (including obtaining and issuing circulating notes) of the United States. The reader can further narrow his/her legal research of the general topic (in this case, Credit Institutions and Banks of the US Code, including obtaining and issuing circulating notes) by chapter and subchapter.
