Marginal Purchase Definition

By a marginal purchase of an article is usually meant a purchase where the full price is not given at the time of the execution of the order, without regard to the percentage of the unpaid balance thereon and without regard to whether the purchase is made as an investment with the expectation of later making full payment and acquiring possession of the article or as a speculation with the intention of selling upon a rise in the market and without any intention of making full payment therefor or acquiring possession of the article purchased. 171 Mich. 38.
