Introduction to PEACE OF PARIS OR TREATY OF PARIS: (1763)

In the context of the legal history: Ended the Seven Year’s War (In America known as the French and Indian War) England gained all of France’s North American possessions east of the Mississippi River. Britain also gains control of Canada. Spain gained control of all North American possessions west of the Mississippi River as well as the islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique. France keeps an interest in India, but she is not allowed to build forts or involve herself in politics. This eventually leads to British control of India.
