Definition of Form 8283

A concept of Form 8283 applicable in the United States: The IRS form that taxpayers must file with their annual tax return if they claim deductions for non-cash contributions with a total value of $500 or more. If the value of any single donated item or collection of items exceeds $5,000, the taxpayer must have the Form signed by the appraiser who certified the value of the property and the charitable organization that received the donation.
