A term of indefinite meaning (except when occasionally defined in statutes), but signifying generally any behavior that is contrary to law and tends to cause a breach (in U.S. law) of the Peace or to shock the public morality. One who commits a breach of the peace is guilty of disorderly conduct, but not all disorderly conduct is necessarily a breach of the peace.
