Class A Condition and Refugees

A definition of Class A Condition, in the context of refugee resettlement and non-emergency repatriation, may be provided here: An excludable medical condition (e.g., infectious tuberculosis, HIV infection, physical or mental disorder that may pose a threat, substance abuse) diagnosed in a refugee during the overseas medical examination. Class A conditions require approved waivers for United States entry and require immediate follow-up upon arrival by appropriate medical personnel.
