CCH

Commerce Clearing House (CCH) in the United States

CCH is one of the major legal publishers in North America. Formerly an independent company (known as “Commerce Clearing House”), CCH is now a subsidiary of Wolters Kluwer. You can look up and purchase CCH publications through the CCH Online Store.

CCH is best know for its excellent series of looseleaf “reporters” that compile the relevant laws, regulations, cases, etc., in various fields of law, particularly securities and tax. Their flagship publications are the Federal Securities Law Reporter and theStandard Federal Tax Reports. They also publish U.S. and Canadian stock exchange manuals and guides for doing business in various countries.

CCH is also known for publishing tax-related desk books such as the Internal Revenue Code, IRS Regulations and the CCH Master Tax Guide.

CCH publications are available online through Lexis (see the Lexis online directory), Westlaw, and through a CCH’s subscription-based platform called Intelliconnect.

Some regional Union lists (e.g., the LLAGNY Union List for New York City) tell you which local libraries hold which CCH reporters and other publications. You can also find libraries holding CCH publications in Worldcat.
