Case in point in the Context of Law Research

The Thurgood Marshall School of Law Library defined briefly Case in point as: A judicial opinion which deals with a fact situation similar to the one being researched and substantiates a point of law to be asserted. (Also called “Case on All Fours.”)Legal research resources, including Case in point, help to identify the law that governs an activity and to find materials that explain that law.
