Air Toxics in Environmental Law
A term used interchangeably with hazardous air pollutants. The federal hazardous air pollutant program has existed since 1970, but many regard it as a failure. The Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 have restructured the law and given new direction to the Environmental Protection Agency. See hazardous air pollutant for a complete discussion of this topic.
